Good Genes

My daily routine (on weekdays only) is to send my two little angels to my mother-in-laws house and then hubby will send me to the bus stop to wait for my dad. My mother and I work in the same area so it is more convenient to follow my dad than bring my own car…which I don’t have..yet. I’m planning to get a car before the end of this year…preferably a Toyota 4WD. To reach my house you will need a 4WD. It’s not that cars like kancils can’t…but kesian laa..skijap ja suda longgar sini longgar sana. The road to my house is so bumpy..my friend once said a pregnant lady could give birth before reaching my house. So if you or anyone that you know is selling their 4WD..please let me know ya! Ok…back to my story….as I was sitting there at the bus stop waiting for my dad, a bus stopped in front of me to pick up passengers….then I saw the conductor. His face was familiar and I knew him because during my ITM (before it changed to UiTM) diploma days…he was the conductor for one of the buses going to ITM and I regularly rode his bus. I was so surprised to see that he hasn’t aged a bit. He looked the same as he was 10 years ago. Some people are just plain lucky..!

Pesta Sukarelawan

Yesterday, there was a special program at Pioneer Mission Church, Tamparuli. I think it was called Pesta Sukarelawan...though it doesn’t sound like anything related to music, it was and there were singing groups from many places involved in this program. My singing group, Witness Wide was invited to sing as well in which we sang 2 songs…Love Grew Where The Blood Fell (I can never get bored singing this song) and Gone. The whole afternoon was filled with beautiful songs and of course I met a few friends that I haven’t seen for quite some time. Here are some shots that I took that afternoon.

Langkawi Meeting Trip

I was in Langkawi from Monday until Wednesdy for a meeting. My initial plans were to visit Makam Mahsuri if there was time. But the meetings were held from morning until late afternoon, making it quite impossible for me to do so. Hmm…maybe next time I should go on a holiday trip to Langkawi…strictly for fun only! Langkawi is really a beautiful island…so laid back and still so natural. Here are some pics I took during my stay there.

Visit By Muak Lek Mission College

Several students and staff from Muak Lek Mission College of Thailand came to visit my church last Saturday afternoon. They came to promote the Mission College by giving us information about the college and also presenting testimonials and songs which were sung by a rather good singing group if I might say. The programme was only about 2 hours and by the end, some of the church youth that attended were already showing interest and wanted to know more about the school. Well, I think that’s a positive sign.

Last Saturday, my sister and I sang a duet together in church. It’s been ages since I last sang solo in church and the thought of singing alone on stage gave me the jitterbugs…sooo….. along came Pammie (my sister) to the rescue. Fever Again

My daughter Kimberly is down with the fever again. I didn’t get enough sleep last night because Kimberly kept on waking up and crying. She’s always like that if she’s not feeling well. Her tonsils are mainly the cause of her fever, most of the time. I brought Kimberly to see the doctor yesterday evening and to my relief she wasn’t given antibiotics again. Kimberly has been having the fever and tonsillitis almost every month now and since she has been taking antibiotics for like every month, the doctor did not give it to her this time as her tonsils didn’t have any signs of infection. We’ll just hold on and see if she will improve by taking only paracetamol and vitamin C. Anyways, after the visit to the doctor and taking her medicine, she seemed quite okay….but yes, she still did her rounds of crying..hehehe….

I’ll be having a meeting with my staff this morning and tomorrow I’ll be going to Tawau again for a school visit. I’ll be back on Friday and next Monday until Wednesday to Langkawi for another meeting. Since my transfer to the Education Department, I think this month is the busiest month so far. I’m still learning the ropes here and I’m trying to learn as much as I can. I still miss my old office once in a while…and my old friends.

I was looking through my photo archives last night and found some photos that I took but never got to upload. I love taking portraits of people and children….and my children are my main models…for practice ba..hehehe……I hope you enjoy the photos.
